Here at Sword in the Stone we like to show our appreciation for our amazing community in many ways that you can use throughout the year such as our Game Master points loyalty program, low cost and free events such as our free Monday Board Game night, competitive pricing on your favorite hobby’s and more.
To give a little extra back to our community we want to launch an annual Community Appreciation Weekend where we have even more giveaways and fun.
For the weekend of July 22nd, 23rd, and 24th we will be hosting multiple events and giveaways. Below we will have a full list of events going on but you’re welcome to also go to www.swordstonegames.com/events to see the full list of events for this community weekend as well as other events we offer every day of the week (closed Wednesdays).
For any of the events we are hosting please feel free to join us whether you are well versed in the games or not. Use these events to explore new games with little to no investment so you can see if it’s a good fit or you.
Weekend Agenda!
For the entire weekend we will be hosting Learn to Play workshops that anyone can join to learn any game we offer in store.
To start off our Community Appreciation weekend when we open on Friday at 1pm until we close on Sunday at 8pm we will be offering a store wide 5% off everything in stock as well as some hobby specific discounts and deals so you can start a new hobby or grow your current one(s)!
Friday Agenda
Friday we are open 1pm until 11pm so come on in to check things out if it’s your first time here or just to hangout and enjoy the community.
Learn to Play workshop:
For Friday any person who is interested in learning to play Magic: the Gathering can join us and be paired with one of our associates to go though the basics to learn how to play Magic using one of our store Commander decks or an official Magic: the Gathering Starter kit.
Once finished if you want to get started with your own cards we will gladly help you get going with the most cost effective way to start your Magic hobby, no registration needed.
We have options that can fit most any budget!
At 7pm we will be doing a $1 Commander Fight Night Tournament. This is going to be an Everyone Wins type of event where all participants get a prize with 1st place receiving a $20 reloadable Gift Card!
No preregistration required, join up the day of. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the event.

Saturday Agenda
Saturday we are open 1pm until 11pm and have regularly scheduled events such as Digimon casual and tournament play, Heroclix tournaments, Warhammer casual and tournament play, and of Magic: the Gathering Free play.
Learn to Play workshop:
For Saturday will encompass any games we offer in store so if you’ve been wanting to try out a game Saturday is the day to do so! For Magic or Digimon come in anytime to learn the game as someone will be in all day to teach. For Warhammer or Heroclix the best time to come in and learn would be between 4pm and 11pm as our community leaders in those hobbies will be available to help you learn, no registration needed.
Digimon:
Digimon X Record [BT09] Prerelease event! This event starts at 6pm and will only cost $1 for entry which gets you 6 packs of the newest Digimon set and enters you in for your chance to battle it out for prizes!
This is a great way to get involved in the Digimon card game for low cost of entry as well as a great way to learn the game as community members and store associates alike will be able to get you up to speed so you can enjoy your game time! Digimon is a fast paced collectible card game that’s super easy to learn but challenging to master!

Warhammer 40K:
All Games Workshop products will be on sale for special in store pricing for new and tenured players alike. Stop in to see what deals we have going on!
Join us at 2pm to partake in a $1 entry 1000 point tournament with prizes, giveaways, and more. Space may be limited so please preregister online so we can best accommodate everyone.

Heroclix:
Join us for a 300 point Heroclix tournament starting at 5pm with only $1 entry!
Prizes will include win a map tournament kits and specialty clix!

Sunday:
Sunday we have free play and our Dungeon Masters in store for roleplaying adventures!
Learn to Paint workshop:
Our learn to paint workshop on Sunday will be for new and tenured role playing game players, DMs, miniature painters and more.
A free paint day event will be lead by Capie, the stores painting expert, to show you some tips and tricks to help you make your miniatures look amazing, no registration needed!
Free paint day starts at 4pm and goes until close or until no other participants want to join in the fun.

Free RPG Day!!
Join our Dungeon Masters for an adventure starting at 2pm! Leave this reality behind and journey into fantastical lands with your adventuring party to take out the baddies, or be the baddy yourself!
